Tivoli Park is a source of pride for the inhabitants of Ljubljana, and its gigantic area of about five square kilometers makes it the largest park of the capital. In addition to the unusual chestnut avenues, sculptures, fountains and flower beds in the park there are many worth seeing works of art and buildings.
Cekin Mansion is a property in Tivoli Park, it houses the Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia. Next to it is Tivoli Hall, which is two large sports halls - one of them, smaller, is a basketball hall ready to accommodate 4,500 people, the other, the larger, is designed for hockey and has 7,000 seats. The pond with a brass painting of two standing fish is Tivoli Pond, another interesting park object. Right next to it there is a children's playground, a greenhouse with carnivorous and tropical plants and a rose garden.
Tivoli Park has been protected since 1984 as part of the Tivoli-Roznik-Hill-Hill-Siska Hill Nature Park.
