The Strbskie Pleso ski resort is located at the foot of the High Tatras. There are 12 kilometers of ski runs here. Most of them are difficult routes. They are served by 8 chairlifts and T-bar lifts. The season usually lasts from November to the end of April.
Strbske Pleso is the highest situated village in Slovakia. It lies at an altitude of 1489 m above sea level. In 1970, the Nordic World Championships were held here. Facilities located in Strbski Ples were also submitted in Poprad's candidacy to host the 20th Olympic Games.
The resort has 9 ski slopes. There are also cross-country ski trails and two ski jumps. The resort has very good accommodation and catering facilities. There are also rentals and equipment services.
