Vadu Crișului is a small town in the picturesque karst region of the Bihor Mountains. In its vicinity, there are numerous rock outcrops and caves open to the public.

The attractive location of the village makes it a good base for hiking in the karst region of Bihor. A popular excursion destination is the Crişului Repedeul Nature Reserve with its river valley and limestone rock walls above it. The surroundings of the reserve are used by tourists, among others to organize picnics as well as short trips and walks.

The Bihor Mountains region is rich in karst phenomena. These include caves, which are an important attraction of the area. Vadu CrişuluiCave and ZmeuluiCave are open to tourists, but to visit them you must have a flashlight and remember to follow the safety rules.

The lower parts of the mountains are covered with deciduous forests, and on the slopes you can come across swift streams. Small cascades form on some of them. The most picturesque one is the Vadu Crişului Waterfall , which can be reached by a marked trail.
