Câmara Municipal is the city hall in Porto. Its characteristic feature is the 70-meter tower that towers above the city center. The building is located on the Avenida dos Aliados avenue. It is worth paying attention to the decorative granite facade decorated with statues of José Sousa Caldas and Henrique Moreira. Câmara Municipal was designed by the architect Correia da Silva, and its construction began in 1920. The construction of the town hall was finally completed in 1957, after the amendments of architect Carlos Ramos were taken into account. The building consists of six floors and two internal patios. The characteristic, soaring tower is decorated with a gong clock. An internal staircase of 180 degrees leads to it.
