Cedofeita Street

One of the most important pedestrian streets in Porto. There are clothing stores next to it, with souvenirs and handicrafts. The street was marked out in the 6th century and it was the seat of merchants from its beginnings. There are many historic tenement houses with facades from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Some stores have retained the appearance of the early 20th century and it has not been changed to preserve the character of the area.
