The Puppet Museum in Porto was opened thanks to the efforts of João Paulo Seara Cardoso - director of the Puppet Theater "Teatro de Marionetas do Porto". You can see puppets, puppets and puppets that have distinguished themselves in the 25-year history of the theater's activity. You can find here, among others traditional Portuguese dolls that João Paulo Seara Cardoso inherited from António Diasa, the last representative of a generation of traveling puppeteers.
In addition to dolls, we will find exhibitions presenting posters, set designs, photographs, props, performances and documentaries. The museum was opened on February 3, 2013, when the Teatro de Marionetas do Porto celebrated its 25th birthday. Initially, it was located at Rua das Flores, while at the beginning of 2016 the collection was moved to Belomonte Street, next to the headquarters of the Teatro de Belomonte company.
