The Crystal Palace gardens in Porto provide an excellent view of the Duoro River. There are numerous exotic plants, beautiful fountains and sculptures. Visitors can admire the amazing world of fauna and flora.
The park in its structure is divided into several smaller themed gardens, e.g. Garden of Feelings, Aromatic Plants Garden, Rose Garden. Charming walking paths run through the park. The most famous is Avenida das Tilias. In the park you can see the Quinta da Macieirinha Romantic Museum, a multimedia library and the Solar do Vinho do Porto winery.
The park was designed by landscape architect Emilio David. Its name comes from the Crystal Palace glass and iron building previously located here. The construction was demolished in 1956. It was replaced by the Pavilhao Rosa Mota pavilion intended for entertainment, cultural and sporting purposes.
