Old Town Hall

Local name: Stary Ratusz

The unique building of the Old City Hall is characterized by the three-bay body and typical for the Gothic style conical roofs. Apart from the main building, the city hall also consists of the rectangular building of the Council and the Jury, and the square tower.

The history of the city hall dates back to the 13th century when the square building with a tower was built for the first time. The construction was used for administrative purposes and trading during weekdays. The current shape of the Old City Hall was achieved in 1470-1510. Its style relates to ecclesiastical as well as prince authority.
