The charming 15th-century tenement houses of Hansel and Gretel are connected by an arch gate. Małgosia invites you to stylish interiors with a pub and restaurant. The house is under the care of the Society of Wrocław Lovers, which organizes openings every second Thursday of the month. Hansel is inaccessible to visitors and can only be viewed from the outside. Jaś's facade is decorated with carvings of an old resident - sculptor Eugeniusz Get-Stankiewicz who was distinguished for the city. Because of this, the tenement house is also called the Copperplate House.
Both houses in the Middle Ages were inhabited by altarists, who looked after the altar in the current church of St. Elizabeth. In the fifteenth century, behind the gate was a church cemetery, closed from 1773. Buildings set at right angles to each other connected by a gate evoke associations with holding hands children, lost among tall buildings.
