Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Local name: Kościół Wniebowzięcia NMP

The brick church, built in the second half of the 19th century, operated as a Greek Catholic church until 1945 when, during Operation Vistula, the community of Lemkos was resettled and the church made into a Latin church. It was entered in the register of objects of cultural heritage in 1992. Visitors can admire the partially preserved polychromy, original altars from the end of the 19th century, and the freestanding gate belfry.

The history of the church in Wróblik Królewski dates back to the origins of the village - the first half of the 15th century. The present church is the third sacral building constructed in this area. The first Eastern Orthodox church was destroyed while the next Greek Catholic church turned out to be too small for the growing number of followers.

The polychromy decorating the interior was made by Feliks and Paweł Bogdański from Jaśliska in 1924.
