Mineral Water Pump Room

Local name: Pijalnia Wód Mineralnych

The Mineral Water Pump Room is located in the very center of one of the oldest Carpathian health resorts - Iwonicz-Zdrój. The building, a very important place for local patients, is characterized by arcades making a roofed promenade and the interior decorated with geometrical, orangery-like patterns. It is worth to take a look at the boards informing about beneficial effects of local waters. The object also consists of an art gallery, and shop with health products and cosmetics "Iwoniczanka".

Built in 1837, the mineral water pump room was the first object of the swimming center established by Count Karol Załuski. In the beginning, the center's offer consisted of medicinal mud. The current look of the building is the result of the rebuilt carried out in 1992 and the 1980s. 19th-century Stare Łazienki Sanatorium is situated next to the pump room.

The waters here provides protection and has anti-inflammatory effects on mucous membrane of the human digestive system, respiratory and urinary tracts.
