WINNA GÓRAPoland
Jan Henryk Dąbrowski Museum
Local name: Muzeum im. Jana Henryka Dąbrowskiego
The museum is dedicated to the person of Jan Henryk Dąbrowski, who died in Winna Góra, and his remains rest in the chapel of the church of St. Of Archangel Michael. The facility has collections borrowed from museums in Gniezno, Poznań and Warsaw. Among them are paintings depicting the Polish general, militaria, or copies of the manuscript of Mazurek Dąbrowski.
The museum is housed in a palace built at the beginning of the last century, on the site of a previous residence constructed in around 1770. The original building was Dąbrowski's property. Next to the building there is a landscape park from the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and in it a boulder with a plaque dedicated to the deceased general.
