Ostrowski Waterfall

Local name: Wodospad Ostrowskich

In Stary Siole, which is part of the well-known Bieszczady town of Wetliny, there is a local peculiarity on the Slavic stream - a waterfall referred to as "Siklawa Ostrowskie". Its name comes from the owners of the nearby holiday resorts Piotrowa Polana and Leśny Dwór, the Ostrowski family. The five-meter waterfall is one of the largest Bieszczady waterfalls. A signposted path leads to this extraordinary natural attraction close to the Great Bypass.

The Slavic Stream begins its course around Smerek and the Orłowicz Pass, and in Stary Siole it flows into the Wetlinka River. The Bieszczady waterfall looks picturesque at any time of the year: the sound of the water and the steep escarpment surrounded by trees create a unique atmosphere. However, it is worth caution, because it is slippery here, and tourists who are stuck and listened sometimes get unpleasant falls.

A stay in Stary Siole is a great opportunity for a mountain trip: from here, there are marked tourist routes to Połonina Wetlińska and Riaba Skala.
