Siekierezada Bar

Local name: Bar Siekierezada

Siekierezada Bar is a legendary place, which owes its name to Edward Stachura's novel "Axing, or the Winter of the Forest Folk" ("Siekierezada albo Zima leśnych ludzi"). The axes thrust into the tables and Biesy and Czady (Devils) glancing from everywhere are the most characteristic elements of its design. In the dark interior are exhibited works of artists related to the Bieszczady.

Visitors can satisfy their hunger there, as well as taste good wine and beer with the characteristic Siekierezada logo. The venue hosts concerts, poetry evenings, and meetings with authors. On the first floor there is an exhibition of paintings by Agnieszka Słowik-Kwiatkowska, and in the garage is a collection of vehicles collected by the owner of the pub, Rafał Dominik.

Initially, the bar was a meeting place for "forest folk": lumberjacks, gatherers of the groundcover, and charcoal burning pitch burners. The pub gained fame among others thanks to a group of regular visitors - remarkable and colorful characters, Bieszczady free spirits, including Jędrek Wasilewski "Połonina", "Jagoda Król" Zdzisław Rados, Janusz Zubow and others ...
