St. Anne's Church in Wilanów
The bell tower of the St. Anne's Church in Wilanów, called Lighthouse of the Third Millenium, was built in 2002. Its top consists of four bells from 1723 and 1777. Two of them were saved by local people from looting.
The neo-Renaissance style of the new bell tower located next to the church was to draw inspiration from the previous wooden and then brick tower. Unfortunately, its current design didn't reach expectations because it doesn't fit into the Wilanów's scenery at all.The bell's name isn't random - its top consists of the lighthouse-like lighting which shows lost souls the way to the church.Less
