The Old Town consists mostly of tenement houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, surrounded by the remains of defensive walls from the 14th and 16th centuries. The Old Town has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is worth paying attention to the Royal Castle and the Castle Square in front of it with the Column of Sigismund III Vasa.
