Museum of Hunting and Horsemanship

The Hunting and Riding Museum is an institution gathering an extremely interesting collection thematically referring to hunting, hippology and nature. Exhibitions are presented in two historic buildings of Łazienki - in the Cantonists Barracks and in Kubicki Stable. The museum also organizes thematic temporary exhibitions.

In the interiors of the Cantonists Barracks you can see permanent thematic exhibitions: Eye to eye, Polish hunting salon 19th/20th in and In the field and in the forest. The last exhibition consists of two rooms, thematically devoted to birds and the inhabitants of the forest. In Kubicki Stable, antique carriages and accessories associated with them are displayed.

The history of the institution begins in 1982, in which two initiatives were implemented in practice, aimed at creating a hunting museum and equestrian museum. As a result, both initiatives were merged and a year later the existence of the facility became a fact. Initially, thematic exhibitions were organized at the headquarters of the Polish Hunting Association. The institution moved to the barracks in 1985, also organizing the first exhibition in this place.
