The museum in Tykocin has its headquarters in the historic interiors of the Talmudic House and in the second largest Synagogue in Poland. Inside are exhibitions showing the rich history of the city, with particular emphasis on monuments of Jewish culture. Permanent and temporary exhibitions are organized here.
Valuable ritual items, such as Sabbath candlesticks, mezuzahs, a fragment of the Torah scroll, or talit, katana and kipa were placed inside the temple. In addition, one of the showcases presents souvenirs given by Abraham Kapica, a Jew who survived World War II.
In the women's section, the so-called women's gallery of the Great Synagogue, temporary exhibitions are organized. In the tower of the temple, the fully furnished room of the rabbi was reconstructed with a table covered for the festival of Pesach.
At the Talmudic House, the Gloger Cabinet was organized along with valuable exhibits, such as funeral hourglasses or handwritten business tickets. In addition, there is a gallery of paintings by Zygmunt Bujnowski.
