By the representational promenade there are many historical and historic buildings, as well as a lot of restaurants and cafes. The Białystok Market Square, built during Branicki's times, has a very original and unique shape. It is not rectangular, but triangular. It resulted from the fork in the roads to Suraż and Choroszcz.

In the central part of the square, a town hall with a clock tower was set up. Until World War II, it served only as a shopping center, and the entire market was primariliy a place of trade. The tower was used by the fire brigade for observation. At the present time, the Podlasie Museum is located there, wherein can be found exhibitions presenting the history of the Białystok region and collections of paintings by the most notable painters.

There are many appealing monuments at the square. In the northern frontage a church is located, which is also the oldest layed with stone building in Białystok. To this church, in the 20th century, the Cathedral of Białystok was built onto. In addition, there are also other eye-catching facilities here, such as the State Archive, which has its headquarters in the Baroque-Classicist manor house from the 18th century, or the Cinema 'Ton'. In the past, an almshouse was established there in 1762 by Branicki. Alongside the market are beautiful, colorful tenement houses that have been rebuilt after the war.
