Białystok Cathedral is an unique building in the Vistula-Baltic neo-Gothic style. Inside, it is worth seeing historic altars, a pulpit made of marble, and pipe organs from 1903. The Cathedral was built onto as an extension to the Old Parish Church, the oldest temple in Bialystok.
It was created on the Latin cross plan and consists of three naves. In the interior there are six altars: the main altar is one of the most admirable and magnificent works of the Polish neo-Gothic, the Altar of Our Lady of Częstochowa that resembles the Gothic style, the Altar of the Crucified Jesus refers to the ark of the covenant, the Altar of Our Lady of Mercy, above which hang, among others votive offerings, the Altar of the Merciful Jesus, and the Altar of Saint Anthony.In the temple, the marble pulpit from the early 20th century deserves attention.
