Ethnographic Museum in Toruń

At the exhibition you can see souvenirs documenting the everyday life of the residents of Kujawy, Pałuki, Kashubia and Chełmno Land. The collection has 60,000 exhibits. The traditional exhibition is diversified with multimedia shows and presentations. The museum building also houses thematic temporary exhibitions, presenting the culture of various ethnic groups from the country and from abroad. The institution also organizes many events aimed at promoting ethnic culture.

The collections of the facility are divided into sections: Basic Economy and Crafts, Architecture and Ethnographic Parks, Fisheries and Water Activities, History and Sociology of the Countryside, Folk Art and Aesthetics, Folklore.

The museum owes its existence to Professor Maria Znamierowska-Prüfferowa, whose name it bears now.
