Regional Museum
Local name: Muzeum Regionalne
Established in 1914, Szczecinek Regional Museum collects archeological, regional, hunting, and goldsmithing objects. It presents many valuable exhibits including, among others, paintings, sculptures, militaria, numismatics, and prints. It organizes permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Collections are presented in several rooms. The first hall is dedicated to the history of the region from the Middle Ages to modern times. There are smithing products, liturgical vessels, and artistic crafts. The next room contains items related to Pomerarian szlachta. The third hall, called Garrison Room, is dedicated to the military. Most of the exhibits were lost, however, part of them was retrieved.The fourth room presents hunting objects: firearms, cold steel, and hunting equipment. The last one is filled with excellent goldsmithing products including objects of sacral art and everyday objects. The exhibition is complemented by items related to World War II.Less
