B-Werk bunker

Local name: Bunkier B-Werk

The Trzesiecki Bunker in Szczecinek is a German two-storey bunker that is part of the Pomeranian Wall. Currently, it operates here by the local association Museum of the Pomeranian Wall and World War II. In the building you can see rooms for the crew and command, engine room, warehouses, sanitary facilities and a medical room. In the upper part of the bunker there is a military exhibition from World War II.

The bunker was built in the years 1935–1935. Its task was to defend the isthmus between the lakes Trzesiecko and Walimie. He represents the type of building B-Werk. The armored dome covering the bunker has not survived.

The upper, formerly above-ground part of the building was used as an exhibition room for weapons, missiles, fragments of uniforms from the battle for the Pomeranian Wall. These are primarily the finds of members of the Tourist and Historical Association that runs the museum. In the lower floor you can see the preserved bunker rooms. Some of the original equipment, such as a trapdoor or armored door, has been preserved here.
