The Museum of Regional Traditions is situated in the Landed Gentry House. Four permanent exhibitions are presented there. The "Pomeranian Cabinet" is dedicated to the history of Pomeranian coins, banknotes, and seals. The "Old Silver" is an exhibition of gold articles, including shrouded in legend golden signet from the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries. The "Golden Age of Pomerania" shows art at the courts of Pomeranian dukes in the 16th-17th centuries. Visitors can also see a lapidarium with sculptures.
The building in which the museum is located, dates back to the first half of the 18th century and had been built in the Baroque style, in the northern classical version. Originally, it was the headquarters of the regional council (sejmik) of the Pomeranian landed gentry. After a thorough refurbishment in the 1920s, the building has been adapted to the needs of the museum.Less
