Wigry Museum
Local name: Muzeum Wigier
Winner of the "Most Attractive Ecotourist Product" award. Visitors are provided with projections, presentations and expositions presenting the history of the area of the Wigry National Park. In addition, the museum has the only boat in Poland with glass bottom Leptodora II, which allows you to observe the underwater world Wigier and laboratory room where educational classes and workshops are held - also for the youngest naturalists.
The facility is located in the former building of the Hydrological Station, which existed until September 1939. In the first half XIX. There lived and worked in it a pioneer of Polish lake hydrology - Dr. Alfred Litynski.
The museum's main exposition depicts the history of the Upper Viennese landscape from the ice age to the present, the underwater nature of the lake, the human activity in the area, and the historical outline and research of the former Hydrological Station.
