Museum of Nature and Technology in Starachowice is located on the site of the former iron mill. It includes several exhibitions and authentic post industrial interiors, like a Blast Furnace and accompanying plant with its equipment. Besides, from the exhibitions one can learn the history of mining of the iron ores in the area, go back to the times of dinosaurs or watch the cars once produced in a Star factory in
Museum was established in 2001. It was located in a closed iron mill, where original equipment was preserved. The oldest machines came from the second half of nineteenth century. The Blast Furnace with the whole technology line dates back to 1899. In the rooms of the old factory two exhibitions related to the history of technology were placed: first one shows mining and metallurgical traditions of Starachowice and second one presents a history of the FSC Star. Separate exhibition is devoted to paleontology. Models of dinosaurs are presented there, as well as original tracks found in Starachowice area. Outside one can visit Archeopark – a hamlet of ancient ferrous metallurgy, where archeological festival “Iron Roots” is held annually.
