The Museum of the Sejny Region gathers collections related to archeology, Dominicans, Sejny bishops, the Polish Army, numismatics, Sejny schools and multiculturalism of the region. In addition, the facility organizes museum lessons for children and young people, and deals with publishing and protecting monuments.
Inside the museum there are several exhibitions presented in separate rooms. The numismatic room shows collections of banknotes and coins from various countries and periods. In the room dedicated to the Dominicans and Sejny bishops we will see numerous documents of religious, official letters, portraits of popes and bishops, as well as liturgical items and gifts from parishioners.
One of the rooms concerns Sejny schools, in which we will see old textbooks, school diaries and certificates. The saber, rifles, bayonets and albums, chronicles, commemorative photographs and secret documents were shown in the army hall. The last room presents exhibits related to the multiculturalism of the region, such as the German and Orthodox Bible and Polish devotion books, publications from a Lithuanian printing house from the beginning of the 20th century, or "Lithuanian cuisine" items.
