Lisia Góra Nature Reserve is located on the banks of Wisłok and covers an area of 8ha. Location is its specific feature - it rises on the over 200m in height island. This area is often called 'mini Białowieża Forest'. It's a part of the former Sandomierz Wilderness. The reserve is one of the stops of Nature trail of Wladyslaw Szafer.
Lisia Góra is the biggest cluster of common oak in Subcarpathia. It has been recognized as a nature reserve in order to preserve and protect old-growth oak forest with numerous aged specimens. The biggest ones have more than 600cm in circumference. The peculiarity of the place is loess slope which is 30m in height. Fauna is represented by about 180 bird species. In winter the reserve is a stay place for rooks that come here from Scandinavia.Lisia Góra and its surroundings are an ideal place for leisure. It is appreciated by strollers and cyclists. Playground and water equipment rental can be found near the reserve.Less
