The round footbridge for pedestrians is the first one of that type in Poland. The construction is innovative because of its ringed shape and used materials: tempered glass, exotic kind of wood - azobe bongossi which is resistant to the changes of weather conditions. It was brought to Rzeszów from Cameroon. Thanks to its aesthetics values and engineering excellence, it gained victory in 4th edition of the Maksymilian Wolf Bridge Contest.
The footbridge was built in 2012 near the intersection of the Piłsudski alley and the Grunwaldzka street, which is the busiest intersection in the city. The footbridge contributed to the reduction of car traffic in the center of Rzeszów. It is also popular viewpoint especially for wedding pictures.The footbridge has four stairways, ramp and two elevators. Effectively lighted at night is an interesting decoration of the city.Less
