Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom consists of five departments: Old Art, Nature, History, Unprofessional Art, and Archeology. It also organizes various thematical temporary exhibitions. The facility also has a library which collects books on the subjects of art, nature, and museology.
The Old Art Department presents a collection of paintings. There are pieces of art by Wyspiański, Chełmoński, Gerson, and especially 42 works by Malczewski. The department also consists of rich collections of drawings and graphics. The most valuable object here is Portrait of Samuel Bugusław Linde by Fryderyk Chopin.The Nature Department contains interesting collections on the subjects of, among others, botany, entomology, oology, ornithology, paleontology, and zoology. The historical collections present documents related to the history of Radom and the region while the Archeology Department exhibits collections of objects from the period between the early Stone Age and modern times.
