"Unrecognized" by Magdalena Abakanowicz

Group of Sculptures "Unrecognized" is an outdoor art by Magdalena Abakanowicz placed in a central part of the biggest park in Poznan - Cytadela. It was unveiled at the beginning of the 21st century and it consists of 112 forms casted from metal, more than two meters high.

Sculptures presents anthropomorphic figures. They haven't got any heads, and each one seems to walk in a different direction. At first glance it looks, like all of them are the same, but they differ slightly from each other. All are standing chaotically side by side and fit perfectly into the green areas of the park.

Group of sculptures is an open work and doesn't have the beginning or the end. Moreover, everybody can join a group of figures and walk between them. Large crowd of figures makes an impression of a labyrinth and creates a beautiful piece of park architecture.
