Palace and park complex
Local name: Zespół pałacowo-parkowy
The present palace and park complex in Ostromecko forms an old baroque palace from the first half of the 18th century, a new classicist palace from the 19th century and covering an area of over 35 hectares. The complex is today a regional cultural institution with concerts, performances, vernissages and historical reconstructions. There is also a hotel and gastronomic facility.
The beautiful architectural complex is surrounded by rich parkland in two independent gardens: Italian and English. In the latter, there is also a forest and garden part with a large proportion of lawns, picturesque trees and many ponds. It is the perfect place to organize outdoor events.
Baroque palace in the complex was built on the edge of the Vistula slope by the Mostowski family, and during the following years it was rebuilt to form a magnificent mansion that can be seen today. The building has three floors and cellars, mezzanine and non-usable attic. Plastered facades are adorned with columns, pilasters and stucco, and the whole is covered by a mansard roof.
Twice as large as the classicist palace, the low-rise four-story roof is double storey, with loft and basement. Inside, there is a beautiful Ballroom and the Gold Room. On the side is a small hunting lodge adjoining to him.
