Ostromecko Baroque Palace

Local name: Pałac barokowy

Located inside: Palace and park complex

The old Baroque palace in Ostromecko was built around 1730 by the Mostowski Family. The palace is situated on the scarp by the Vistula River, deep in the park. It enchants with its architecture of Saxony rococo. In the past, the palace operated as a noble mansion. It was turned into a Warsaw-style residence by Pomeranian voivode Paweł Michał Mostowski.

Formerly, there was a defensive gord which history dates back to the 13th century. The area of the palace became a property of nobles in 1570. Meetings of hunters, hunts, and later picnics were organized here. Because of that, the palace was called "hunting palace".

The palace is a monumental building with 542m2 of usable floor area covered with the double curb roof and topped by the sculpture of an eagle. The building has three floors, attic, and basement with exhibition and workshop. Concerts, exhibitions, art meetings, and family workshops are organized here.
