The Cracow-Czestochowa Upland, especially the Ojcowa region, is famous for its beautiful rocky hills. They formed as a result of erosion processes of limestone rocks. Large accumulation occurs in the area of Ojcowski National Park and in its immediate vicinity. The most famous are the Hercules Club, the Krakow Gate and the Deotomi Needle.
Rocky shale created by the action of water and wind on the limestone rocks. The harder parts of them have been and have undergone the conditions of fancy shapes that people associate with some objects or mythical creations.
Hercules club is about 25 meters high. It is located near the castle in Pieskowa Skala. He looks like a real club, narrower at the bottom with a round head. In the middle of the OPN you can admire the Krakow Gate, the last of the entrance to the Valley of Prądnik to the Ravine Caves. Over the Prądnik Valley rises the needle Deotyma, tapering up the rock, whose name refers to the writer Antonina Domanska, who came to Ojcow for vacation.
