The modern town hall tower in Nysa was rebuilt in 2008. It is 50 meters high and is crowned with a 30-meter spire. It is an excellent point of view, from which you can admire the Nysa market, urban development, among others. a group of burghers' houses and the basilica with the belfry and the surrounding area - the Opolskie Lowland and the Eastern Sudetes. A lift was installed in the tower.
The old town hall tower was built in the fifteenth century and was 94 meters long. The gallery was decorated with an octagonal spire decorated with a flag and a sphere. It survived until 1945, although the town hall was seriously damaged during the storm and earthquake of 1590.
In 1945 the tower was almost completely devastated, survived only a fragment of the quadrilateral base. In the 1960s it disappeared. City authorities have decided to demolish old buildings using explosives. These works were related to the preparations for the television "City Tournament".
