Krzywoustego Hill - Grzybek
Local name: Wzgórze Krzywoustego - Grzybek
The hill, located in the bend of the Bóbr River, is 375 meters above sea level. Thanks to the observation tower built on its top, you can admire the picturesque panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains and the buildings of Jelenia Góra from the top. The green tourist trail from the center of Jelenia Góra runs along the slope of the Krzywousty Hill. There is a short unmarked road leading to the top of the hill.
The lookout tower was built in 1911. It measures 22 meters in height and is called a "mushroom" due to its characteristic shape. A restaurant operated there for some time. The building was revitalized in 2009. Admission to the tower is free.
The name of the Krzywousty Hill was given as a form of commemoration of the hillfort that was to be founded on this hill by the king of Poland. According to some legends, however, it was an older fortification - dating back to the times of Bolesław the Brave.
