Krzywousty Hill observation tower
Local name: Wieża widokowa na Wzgórzu Krzywoustego
The vantage point is located on the top of Krzywousty Hill, at an altitude of 375 m above sea level. The tower was built in 1911 and measures 22 meters. Because of its characteristic roof it is called the Mushroom. It offers a panoramic view of the Giant Mountains and the city of Jelenia Góra.
Its history dates back to 1891, when the first plans to erect a viewing point in Jelenia Góra appeared. After many collections and lotteries in 1911, the idea was implemented. Immediately after construction, the tower was called "Imperial" ("Kaiserturm") in honor of the emperor Wilhelm I. At its top was a restaurant.
After the war, the tower was liquidated. In 2009, it underwent revitalization, which resulted in its current appearance. The building is looked after by the St. Brother Albert.
