It is located in the Millennium Park. In the Mini ZOO live animals representing about 25 species, including 13 species of mammals and 12 species of birds. On the surface of six hectares there were runs and animal pavilions. You can see here, among others wild boars, deer, roe deer, goats, llamas, fallow deer, pheasants and anteater, and the pond with water birds makes the greatest impression on visitors.
The history of the object dates back to 1903, when the first small zoo was created. He survived World War I without much damage. In the interwar period, keeping a zoo was very difficult, which is why future city residents founded the Society of Zwierzyniec Lovers with help. During World War II, the most valuable animal specimens were exported deep into Germany. In 1945, as a result of the liberation struggles and cold winter, most of the animals died out and the garden practically ceased to exist. The Mini Zoo in this form as we know it now has been operating since 1977.
