The District Museum in Leszno deals with the popularization of the history and culture of Leszno, as well as the southwestern part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Inside, you can admire numerous exhibits, mainly works of art, ethnographic and archaeological collections.

Exhibitions presented in the facility were placed on several floors. On the ground floor there are epitaph boards containing coffin portraits and a gallery of portrait paintings from the 17th-19th century. On the mezzanine is the memory room of Jan Amos Comenius, in which his portrait and works devoted to him were placed.

The collection of Polish paintings from the 19th and 20th century was presented on the first floor. You can admire the works of Jacek Malczewski, Stanisław Wyspiański and Juliusz Kossak. The second houses an archaeological exhibition covering all eras and ethnographic collections related to southwestern Greater Poland and the current Leszno region.

On the third floor there is an exhibition of military items and souvenirs related to the 17th Regiment of Greater Poland Uhlans and the 55th Poznań Infantry Regiment. In addition, the museum has a library, and contains old prints from municipal printing houses, publishers and publications from the nineteenth century and the period before the outbreak of World War II.
