The museum is located in the eighteenth-century building of the former Trinitarian monastery. The facility collected over 4,300 exhibits in the fields of archeology, art, ethnography and history. They were presented at three permanent exhibitions. Particularly noteworthy is furriers' statute from 1577 or privileges for tailors from 1579.
The leading collection in the collection of the institution are monuments from the field of folk culture. The exhibition presents everyday objects, agricultural tools, national costumes, furniture and sacred art. "Krotoszyn from prehistory to the present day" is an exhibition introducing visitors to the history of the city. At the exhibition "Krotoszyn sculpture, painting, drawing and graphics" we will see works related to Krotoszyn thematically or by the person of the creator. An interesting collection of exhibits are souvenirs of the Krotoszyn Brotherhood and the souvenirs from the partitions.
The Regional Museum in Krotoszyn was established in 1957 on the initiative of PTTK activists, and its first seat was a wooden house from the second half of the 18th century. In 1969, the collection was moved to the Baroque monastery building, in which the museum has been functioning until today.
