Dobrzyca Palace - Polish Landed Gentry Museum

Local name: Pałac w Dobrzycy - Muzeum Ziemiaństwa

The museum is located in a palace located in a picturesque landscape park, maintained in the English style. The museum's activity focuses in particular on commemorating the historical and cultural heritage of the Polish landed gentry.

Concerts, painting workshops and events beginning the season are regularly held at the Museum of Landowners' in Dobrzyca, combined with the opening of temporary exhibitions. The museum also offers permanent exhibitions. One of them is the Freemasonry exhibition, entirely devoted to the history of the Masonic movement. The exhibits include costume items, numerous decorations, dishes and literature related to Freemasonry.

The building consists of two wings on the plan of the letter "L", with a four-column Tuscan portico, decorated with a quote from Horace: "this corner on earth is more pleasing to me above all." The palace interiors feature rich and high-class painting decoration. The key role in the decoration of the main staircase and the Ballroom, Egyptian and Landscape Hall play gently painted landscapes placed within the architectural frames.
