Zakrzówek

Zakrzówek is located in the area of Skałki Twardowskiego Wilderness. The bay was created by the flooding of the old limestone quarry in 1990. It is formed by two basins connected to each other. Today, it's a recreational place for locals.

Before the foundation of the city, Zakrzówek Village, which was joined to Kraków at the beginning of the 19th century as a district, was situated here.

In the exception of designated place, swimming in the bay is prohibited because there were numerous drownings in the past. Entering the bay is allowed only under the watchful eye of a lifeguard.

The diving center operates in Zakrzówek. It is this facility which owns the guarded beach. Sunken objects such as car wrecks, boat, and a changing room can be seen at a depth of 7 to 30 m.
