Wołyński Boulevard

Local name: Bulwar Wołyński

The Wołyński Boulevard is located on the right bank of the Vistula, between the Grunwaldzki Bridge and the mouth of the Wilga River in the Krakow district of Podgórze. It's easy to find it looking for the characteristic shape of the former Forum Hotel. For the past few years at the turn of April and May a funfair from the Netherlands is stationing here. When visiting the boulevard, we will be able to walk through the alleys crossing the grassy, gentle terrain descending towards the Vistula. It is therefore a place that is an attractive recreational area for both Cracovians and tourists.

The Wołyński Boulevard is part of the Vistula Boulevards. They were built on both sides of the Vistula in the years 1907-1913 according to the plans of Roman Ingarden. They were to serve the city as flood defenses, they were also an element of the designed Danube - Dniester channel. Contemporary division of the Boulevards and their names were created in 1991.
