The Museum of the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University collects old medical tools, plaster casts, documents, medical books and photos that show the development of medicine over the centuries. His exhibition is located in the building of the Krakow Medical Society.
The Museum of the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University was established in 1900 thanks to the efforts of Professor Walery Jaworski. It is the oldest in Poland and one of the world's oldest museums dealing with medicine. However, it has only a permanent seat and a place to display its collections since 1990.The Museum's collections contain items that formerly served doctors in their work. You can see here how the appearance of medical tools and the course of therapy have changed. There are also old photos and documents showing the functioning of the health service. The section of old prints and medical books is vast. A collection of surgical instruments and plaster casts from the anatomopathological office of Professor Bierkowski also went to the Museum.Less
