Geological Museum of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences is dedicated to the geological structure of Earth and its paleontological past. The main exhibition is dedicated to the geological structure of the area of Kraków. It consists of minerals, fossils, and also maps and boards making the subject easier to understand. The museum has the largest collections of meteorites in Poland.

Geological Museum operates since 1865. The main, popular science exposition shows the geological diversity of Kraków and its area. It leads from limestone caves of the Polish Jurassic Highland through the flysch of the Beskids to the Pieniny and the Tatras. The exposition has detailed descriptions what allow geological laymen to understand these subjects.

The exhibition also consists of minerals and rocks found in the area of Kraków. There are also fossils with traces of animals. A big attraction is also the collection of meteorites. It has 333 specimens including, among others, fragments of Pultusk which fell near Warsaw in 1868.
