The exhibition of the folk art is part of the exposition "Polish folk culture" presented in the Kraków's Ethnographic Museum. It consists of about 300 works made over a few centuries. They are divided into eight thematic areas. Visitors can admire the works of, among others, Nikifor, Maria Wnęk, Dorota Lampart, Heródek, Renata Bujak, Jan Wnęk, Władysław Luciński, and many anonymous authors.
The exhibition is complemented by citations from "Nieobjeta Ziemia" ("Unattainable Earth") by Czesław Miłosz which are kind of a guide. There are also poems, translations, notes, and maxims. They were used because the aim of the exhibition is to build a personal relationship with art. The works presented here are testimonies of lives of their authors. For those who want to know more about presented objects and their authors, there are two available versions of the guidebook - printed and electronic. The second one is provided by tablets which are available at the place.Less
