The permanent exhibitions of the museum are placed in the designated halls of Collegium. The most important ones are the monumental library, stuba communis (former dining room), and professor rooms. One of the items the halls presents are monumental scientific instruments. The most interesting and valuable are the Arabic astrolabe from 1054 and so-called the Globus Jagellonicus from around 1508 - the oldest preserved globe on which America is marked.
Apart from the scientific instruments, the rich collection of the museum also consists of paintings (the unique collection of professors portraits), sculptures (the oldest ones date back to the Middle Ages), graphics and handcrafts.Less
