In addition to the impressive main courtyard, Collegium Maius also has a much smaller Huta Courtyard, also known as Estreicher's Alley.
In the courtyard you can see the bust of Karol Estreicher and Julian Aleksandrowicz, Antoni Kępiński and King Casimir the Great. The name "Huta Courtyard" comes from the German word die Hütte, meaning a hut that stood in this place in the 16th century. The second name of the courtyard commemorates professor Karol Estreicher, to whom Collegium Maius owes renovation after the Second World War.Less
