Established around 1900, the eclectic building is located in Kowary. Designed on the model of a high-altitude Swiss sanatorium, it now impresses with its Art Nouveau architecture - numerous turrets, verandas and facades and interiors decorated with animal and floral motifs attract tourists.
Since its inception, the hospital has been treating patients with tuberculosis and lung diseases. It owes its name to the location and proximity of the village of the same name. Worth seeing are, among others the park around the hospital was designed by the garden architect Mentzel, as well as a richly decorated Art Nouveau dining room and a hospital lounge with a chapel on the first floor of the building. Also interesting are the corridors themselves and the lobby on the ground floor, where you can find a sculpture of the mythical Ilioneus, raising his hands in plea for saving his life.
