The fairytale scenography of the museum serves as a background for the collection of over 2,5 thousand toys which have been gathered for over 200 years. The museum presents toys from all over the world from the 18th century to modern times. Hallmark of the exhibition is the unique collection of monumental porcelain dolls. Another attraction is the hall of railways, where the display units from the museum of railways in Jaworzyna Śląska are presented. The goods wagon with a length of 3m, ticket office and miniatures of trains are also worthy of attention.
The museum was opened in 1995. Its base collection was then the Henryk Tomaszewski's private collection. Tomaszewski donated his collection of toys from all over the world to the municipality in 1994. A visit to the museum is not only an attraction for children but also a world of childhood to which adults can return. Since 2012 the museum is placed in the renovated former station building. The museum organizes temporary exhibitions and cultural-didactic events dedicated to the youngest.Less
